Please register for one of the Community Planning Sessions for May Day 2023 on Wednesday January 18, 2023.
The sessions are 4pm-5pm or 6pm-7pm – you don’t need to attend both sessions. In this registration form, please select which time slot you would like to attend.
If you cannot make either session but have ideas for May Day 2023 and/or want to be looped into the organizing, please send an email to fairwagesniagara@gmail.com or DM @fairwagesniagara!
This session is being hosted by Justice for Workers Niagara, and supported by OPIRG Brock. The goal of this session is to connect with unions, labour councils, and community activists in order to do following:
– Establish list of people and groups interested in helping organize this event
– Ideas for the May Day 2023 event (e.g. rally, workers’ gathering, etc.)
– Funding & in-kind needs for May Day 2023, and potential funding options to address these needs
– Learning if other Niagara events, outside of St. Catharines, are being organized in other municipalities
– Online event options to increase accessibility
– What issues and demands groups would like to see highlighted at May Day 2023
